Halloween isn't fun anymore?!

One of my friends said to me that Halloween isn't fun anymore, because we are getting older, and its just another day. I was like WTF?! I freaking love Halloween. Every year I take this special oppertunity to watch the Rocky Horror Picture Show. There are so many things about Halloween that make it special, and I would hate to think of my friends missing out on such things. Its just too sad.

So I decieded that T.V. reviews arn't my thing, I use the verb "awesome" too much to describe them. Now I'm leaning more toward "the life of an abnormal teenager." I don't believe that I am like other people, for reasons unknown to any one, espically myself. And I also believe that this makes me special. I like to think outside the egg, to do things people wouldn't expect, which sometimes means doing things people expect to be done, but expect you not to do. Then it surprises the hell outta them even more.

Today we made a trip to my Grandparents house. What fun, 12 hours in the car with the fam. Can you say bliss... NOT! My nieces wouldn't shut the hell up, my dad kept going on and on about gas prices, my mom kept going on and on about the company she (kinda) works for, and my brother wouldn't take care of his own kid, and expected me to do it for him. Oh the life I lead.

My Grandparents own about 1,000 acres just on the northern edge of the Ozarks in Missouri. Its a beautiful piece of land, and I spent my childhood growing up there, and my adolesence wishing I could dissappear there. I took my senior pictures there today (SENIORS '10!!! [god I hate that]). I decieded to take them on the Indian Bluff, which is about a 60 or so fall onto nothing but limestone and marble, but it has always been my favorite place. In the background of the pictures you can see the Kaw River, and the surrounding fields, where a man grows THOUSANDS of pumpkins EVERY year. Its pretty cool.

I found my first aarow head today, which I was totally happy about. Thats why its called the Indian Bluff (named BEFORE the politically correct term of Native American came into use), because the Cherikee indians lived there before my however many greats grandfather baught the land off of them. He didn't steal it, he paid a hefty sum for it. There is pottery in every cave, there are aarow heads everywhere, but people have been comming through and taking them for so long that there are very few left, and there are graves. They barried their people in a very special way. The man of the house was burried on the left hand side of a large circle, on his side, then the woman was burried on the right hand side, in the middle of them was their horse, and under them were any children that died before reaching maturity. Just a little factoid for you there.

Well I am tired right now. Had a rough day, we had to stop in Junction City to take the girls Trick-or-Treating before it got dark. That was an expierence I could have lived my life without doing. This says 9:25, but its actually 10:25 until midnight, when it will become 11 again. lol Day lights saving time cracks my shit up.

Good night, and hope you had a kick ass Halloween.

Where did my Friday go?

So I looked at the clock, and its already almost 1 Saterday, and I was like WTF?! I havn't gotten anything done today. I was busy destroying a pair of converse at a corn maze.

We decied about a month ago that we would make our annual trip to Gary's Barries, a huge-mongous corn maze in the area, on the 30th, little did we know, it would rain for a week straight. But that didn't stop us! We had a blast, bouncing on a huge trampolene, going down huge pipe slides, playing in the little kids corn pit, climbing on old tires, spending 2 hours lost in the corn maze, and getting the snot scared out of us at the haunted house. I wasn't actually scared, but my friend was. She screamed her way through every room. Me and the 2 guys we were with laughed our asses off. Part of the "grand fanily" in the haunted house was a tunnle that spens and makes you feel like you are falling over. And my friend actually fell, and one of the boys had to help me (literally) carry her out of the room. It was intense.

Now, where as I didn't find the haunted house scary, some people did. A lady in the group ahead of us actually had a heart attack, and had to be taken to the hospital. I got all the gory details because I'm friends with one of the perimetics. :D yippie for connections in the right places! She had gotten really scared half-way through the house, and couldn't get the emergency exits to open (so much for safty). She came out having chest pains, and not being able to feel her arms. They took her blood pressure, and it was off the charts. I was like WOW! I even started to tell people, so that the word would spread. Scared some kids so bad they sold their tickets to the haunted house for half price... Guess who got to go through twice?! lmfao

The corn maze sucked, but in a good way... if that makes sense. It wasn't as cold as I thought it would be, and there were a lot of people there. We started a game of Marco Polo, and the whole place was buzzing about it. We also found Rodger, whom we heard people calling for earlier in the night. So that was pretty cool. We finally had to cheat to get the hell out of there. We were tired of that place. We all have to wash our shoes now. They are literally caked with mud. One of the guys tried to cut through the maze and steped in a hugh mud puddle. Soaked his leg all the way up to his knee... talk about funny.

So all and all it was a good night. I havn't had a chance to watch Glee yet, and probably wont be able to until Sunday, which bugs me. I havn't been able to watch any of my shows! lol, I sound like an old lady.

Well I should probably shut down now. I have to get up and go to my grandparents house tomorrow. Then take my nieces Trick-or-Treating... Which is always fun. I might wear my "Got Beer?" hat.

Wish me luck.

Whats a Thursday without rain?

As you can guess, its raining here. Its been raining since 3 o'clock this morining, and hasn't let up yet. Yippie do da day... I usually don't mind the rain, but it really interfers with trying to smoak a cigerette. And let me tell you, I need them right now. My nieces are driving me crazy.

Well I might as well come up with something to do on my blog. I'm thinking about doing television reviews. But a lot of people do that. Oh who cares, I might as well give it a shot.

Last night I watched The Forgotten. Great show, but it kinda reminds me of Without a Trace. The actors are really good, and the situations are believable. I really liked how they got the lady to crack, who was an alcholic. They had her go a couple of hours without liquor, and she just had to tell the truth, so that she could get some.

I had an aunt who was an alcholic, and she couldn't go without drinking for more than a couple of minutes without getting cold swets. She eventually died because of it. But all's well that ends well.

Tomorrow I'll review Glee. I didn't get to watch it last night because I was at a friends house.

Cheers for now,

Cassandra

Oh Wendsday... how I love you.

Hello,

This would be my first blog on this web-site. I have tried other blog places, and I have never truely liked any of them. So I have decided to branch out to new horizons.

I guess I should start by telling a little bit about myself. My name is Cassandra Buckley, and I am 18 years old. I live in a small town in north-east Kansas. I have a lot of intrests, which include, but are not limited to: drawing, reading, finding new and intresting music, and going to local band concerts with my friends.

Right now I am taking care of my 2 nieces by my oldest brother. Their names are Keely and Zaylah, and they are 4 & 3. What a fun age, right? Wrong. They get into EVERYTHING, today they broke the television set by pushing it off its table. Well now they are messing with the stove, I must go save some lifes.

Cheers for now,

Cassandra
